We are the first generation that has sufficient resources to put a roof over every head, a meal on every table, to provide education and basic health care to all, and to care for the planet.

Yet we don't.

You have to ask what is wrong with us?

Republicans have turned the USA into the kind of police state that Republicans always warned you America would become if you didn't vote for Republicans.
Note to the tech bros:

In every imagination of a utopian future you might notice that people don't starve or lack income because they no longer have to work.

By all means replace all the jobs, but don't assume that means you get all the money.

Republican voters fear what they have been told Democrats might do.

Democratic voters fear what Republicans have already done.

Both sides are not the same.

Neither Montana nor California have legalized in-app gambling and the fact that those two very different states agree on this should be a signal to everywhere else.

If Democrats were bold, they would use the healthcare insurance crisis to commit to Medicare for All in 2028.

“Why are your posts so political?”

Because health is political

Because the President of the most powerful country on earth has said disabled people should be “left to die”

Because we’re living through a mass disabling event

Because eugenics is back

Because our lives matter

I'm willing to entertain the possibility that there may still be some good/moderate Republican politicians out there, but...

...in the absence of any of them speaking out, can we all agree that none of them are "leaders".

While America today is focused on the DC National Guard shooting, we should all be asking how did the shooter get his guns and why is this administration working to make that even easier?
While the world focused on the Epstein files, Congress took up a dangerous bill that sponsors say is to help law enforcement get greater access to “less-than-lethal” weapons.

In reality, it deregulates dangerous weapons to help a billion-dollar weapons industry make more money.

Americans don't understand that the biggest problem with implementing Medicare for All would be the unemployment caused by all the jobs losses (cost savings) in insurance and billing.
It would look like Medicare...

....but 'for all'

The infrastructure is already there, so it requires no substantial changes to implement.

"Nearly 5,500 employees have left the DOJ since Trump took office in January”

I fear it will take more than 4 years simply to hire enough honest people to prosecute the crimes being commited in Trump's name.

I'm all in for a future in which AI replaces all the jobs, because this sound great, but only on one condition.

We need to discuss how people are going to live when jobs are not the primary means of distributing income.

"Ha, ha - Trump granted the shooter asylum" isn't going to help asylum seekers or move the debate on immigration forward.

Not that we were having a real debate on immigration.

Dear Democrats: As you prepare for the 2026 election...

America doesn't need a strong Republican party.

You are under no obligation to reach across the aisle to people who have tried to destroy democracy.

I want you to demonstrate that the rule of law applies to congress.

OK?

The president and his special envoy are primarily concerned with finding a way to make Putin happy by providing a sufficient reward for his brutal and sadistic war of aggression. We have become a country that sells out our friends and embraces the worst people on the planet.
