And in the search for the last Barghest. uhm...... I didn't get her but... I got... 2 other copies of Melusine. So let's say I need to do a lot of advance and rank-up quests and maybe actually start OC1 to get ready for the Koyan Light banner on New Years.

I've been saying for like 3 weeks that once I'm done with Mitsu I would play around with Odion because I just like decks that play a different kind of YGO.
People have made me think that it was released in Creation Pack 9. I assume it got released like in JP with the other TCG imports.

It's two things that makes it not an instant recommendation. Branded isn't the easiest deck for new players, it can be difficult to grasp interactions.
Second is the price compared to other structures(some only requiring 1 copy). Which is key for new players as parting with $12 is easier than $20++

It does come with really good staples, and you can get the rest of the generic staples (ash etc.) on the cheap due to all the reprints and structures in the OCG/AE side.
And I think branded will forever remain "the" rouge deck just due to the design of the deck so it's not a bad investment.
