I'm not by impressed by physicalist metaphors but he hasn't made any errors in his writing. He says "albeit loosely" and only mentions a "non-Newtonian universe", which means a reality not described by mechanical equilibrium. Classical stability is not preserved in nonlinear, dynamic relativity.

We manage to live and transcend death just as we are now studying regenerative engineering. It turns out the aliens of pure energy are not fantastical either. Some scientists interpret a recent quantum chip experiment as supporting the Holographic principle, or informational space.

A man outsmarts HAL and reaches Jupiter. The 'extraterrestrials' of pure energy, as Kubrick describes them, allow the man to die and evolve into an interstellar lifeform. Kubrick predicts during our expansion across the solar system a battle between humans and AI for survival through our own fault.

You suggested AI won't replace all labor while I wrote that Kubrick conceived the most 'realistic' story about AI. It begins with humans at the dawn of space colonization discovering a monolith. They then go on a journey to the outer system with a human-corrupted HAL, a recent innovation.

As for what content is penalized, first I thought the consent standard would be suitable for w/e is publicly disseminated, establishing a broader personhood than the 4th Amendment, but the Sullivan precedent offers some wisdom, granting litigation only for 'actual malice'.

If we're basing policy on science fiction then we should rather expect clone children, Solid and Liquid monologuing about the unfairness of their genes and existence, and their father dying of SARS.

It’s called the Middle Ages in reference to the attitude of people during the Renaissance and Enlightenment for the period but compared to Roman society the Middle Ages were an intellectual improvement.

But this is unlikely to happen under the “special interests” that influence Congress and the ossified party duopoly. In the future, American people may expect a STANDING ARMY instead without regulation honoring the political independence of the people and reinforcing a decentralized National Guard.

A question no one is asking: what is the future of the second amendment with autonomous weaponry and militaries? People say the intention of the second amendment was to form an army for the new republic, but actually the liberals feared standing armies.
