Lifegiver, astro-botanist, storyteller, artist, and enrolled citizen of the Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate. Living in my Imnizaska homelands (St Paul, Minnesota) near the burial mounds of my ancestors.
Yesterday I was with Native kindergarteners sharing stories and teaching cordage making when a little girl raised her hand and asked ”Do you love to camp?”
I replied “Yes, I do!” and she responded dreamily “Me, too. I love to go camping and I love to foe-wage (😭) for plants.”

Wopida to all who have joined and supported me on my journey of reconnecting with ancestral Dakota weaving plant relatives. I can’t imagine how hard resisting fascism would be without the community of beautiful humans showing up to heal and restore our relationships to Ina Makoce and one another.
