Been playing around #recalbox in my Retroflag GPi 2W. Really nice design. The bundled games are pretty nice (check out “Ports” if you want to play doom). Once I worked out how to load ROMs (stick the SD card into a computer and there’s a “shared” volume? 1/
A games console that looks like the original gameboy The “games cartridge” houses the raspberry pi and breaks the gpio pins into a set of cartridge edge connectors to go into the main unit. There’s a little rubber cover for where the SD card lives

Finally! Enhanced dialogue (iOS 26). As much as I love the @2000ad.bsky.social In Orbit podcast the volume is too low.
This means Siri is yelling direction at me when I’m driving. No more!

Just learnt you can embed python dependencies in a gist and then run it as a one-shot script using uv. In screenshot 1 I've pulled in pyfiglet to create a snazzy message. You can inline your dependencies into your script using `uv add --script <dep>` 1/
powershell prompt where I'm running a python script in gist. The script installs it dependency (pyfiglet) and prints a banner that reads, "no sploit today" This is the source code to the script run in the previous screenshot. It shows the python dependencies as a preamble comment at the start of the script. Then the script it self imports pyfliglet, initialises the object to use the slant font and then renders the banner by printing the return value from the renderText method. Played around with the small Adana press and a few ornaments and punctuations makes from the workshop’s hell box. Love the left facing elephant and horse

Five letterpress prints (four quarters plus the best stacked and centre placed). The prints use an elephant with exquisite detail and a silhouette of a galloping horse. The remaining space is filled with punctuation marks and there is hand holding a card and the index finger pinging to the right. The colour of the ink is Napthol red. An Adana manual press with the letterpress form in place. The inking plate is dry because I’ve got a bigger surface to ink up to the left (out of shot).

If you were able to decode the AudioMo you would’ve seen this. You would need to use SSTV B&W 8 seconds mode. I did some research and found out this mode was created by Robot Research Corporate.

Finally got a chance to play with my calendar type what I bought from my local letterpress dealer. Also got to play with one of the newly arrived / discovered Adana press. Lots of fun. I reckon you could easily get a year at a glance on a piece of A5. #letterpress

Just curious to see if I can tune my tmpfs to container VM ratio. Discovered a way to sum up all the containers for a given docker compose file. #docker #commandlinemagic #dayjob #nichetips
using the docker compose stats command we extract the memory usage and limit of all the containers. we extract the just the numbers from the usage and then sum up using awk. We're using 3GB of memory.

The sound you heard is an image being encoding using Slow Scan TV. This allows the image to be transmitted over radio. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slow-sc... To decode the message you'll need an app, I use Black Cat Systems' SSTV iOS. Here's what you should've seen if you were able to decode the message.
