Nobody is forcing them to do this, they’re doing it voluntarily. Because if they stepped back, conceded things have gone too far and tried to calm things down instead, that would raise too many questions about what the fuck it is they’ve been doing for most of the last decade.

The reporting on Charlie Kirk’s killer in the UK & US highlights again how fundamentally ill equipped mainstream media is to report on political violence in the digital age.

They do not know anything about online far right meme culture & it’s starting to do real harm. #r4today

Can't fault the clarity of Labour's message on protest. There are BAD protesters who must be punished (Irish musicians, anti-genocide vicars) and there are GOOD protesters whose views deserve respect (masked thugs with petrol bombs trying to start a pogrom)

Having facilitated a genocide for nearly two years, Labour are now claiming they will recognise the State of Palestinian at some point within the next four years...

A director pal has been working for decades with big name clients. Doing huge stuff, including international shoots. If you live in the UK, you will have seen their stuff.

They are currently retraining as a Pilates instructor. To have a more regular income in winter.

That's how bad it is.

Acknowledging that the billionaire who did a Nazi salute at the inauguration isn’t a cool guy you want to be friends with seems like it should be the absolute minimum qualification for membership in the opposition party.

Gosh. Who could have predicted this*

*(Every trans person and feminist for the last decade).
This is the end result of anti-trans bigotry: more harassment of girls and women, more policing of gender roles, more gender McCarthyism.

You’ll recall that the cancelled second phase of the Leveson Inquiry - cancelled by the government, because the press and the police both demanded it - was intended to examine overly chummy and probably corrupt relationships between government, press and police.

You’ll recall our entire media/political class unified as one around the idea that the slightest trace, the mere suspicion of racism in public life was utterly unacceptable and that anyone tangentially implicated had to be expunged and eradicated. Just checking in on that, five years later

Lesbian from Uganda? No visa.
The Home Office will restrict work and study visas from nationalities who are most likely to overstay and claim asylum. Visas will be rejected for individuals who fit the profile of someone who will go on to claim asylum and are from countries with high rates of asylum.
