A federal judge ruled that federal agents have to scale back the warrantless arrests of immigrants that have been happening in D.C.

“They’ve been roaming around arresting people who appear Latino without any regard of who they are," says an attorney.

Lawyers say federal agents unlawfully operated under an ‘arrest first, ask questions later’ policy.

My impact as a parent.
My son wore a Josh Allen jersey his grandfather gave him to school. (Rochester is deep Bills country.) We got multiple “Go Bills!” greetings that day. Meanwhile, the only sport we watch in our household is women’s soccer (NWSL). Like, my son was baffled when we told him men play pro soccer too.

I want statehood for DC and their soccer teams to lose in perpetuity. Such is America
44 - The 2025 #NWSLChampionship between Washington Spirit and Gotham FC will be the 44th meeting between the teams in all competitions, surpassing Seattle vs. Portland as the most played fixture between two #NWSL teams. Ultimate.

Reports of the death of the bachelor’s degree have been greatly exaggerated. Enrollment is near pre-pandemic levels, real tuition is flat or down, and the college wage premium remains high.

I explore how the narrative became disconnected from the data.

I love that everyone from churches to child care to my local pizza joint and cocktail bar are stepping up in response to the SNAP shutdown crisis, and it remains BS that they are being forced to do so. Every "heartwarming" story has a foundation of government failure.

And we have now progressed from data analysis to policy recommendations.
