This has been recommended to me so it’s on my to do list. Birdsong by Sebastian Faulkes is also very good.

The Nightingale & The Women are both excellent and The Four Winds & The Great Alone are also very good. She’s a great storyteller with strong female characters.

I’m reading The Night Road by Kristin Hannah, I’ve loved everything else I’ve read by her but finding this one a bit Young Adult, which is fine but not what I was expecting.

Deary me, I need to open my eyes in the city I’ve lived in for over 50 years!! I can’t recall noticing this stunning building before 👀 🤦‍♀️

I know exactly what you mean. I think that voice gets a bit less Yoda like as it goes on. It really irritated me to begin with though.

I struggled with it in the beginning, didn’t mind it by the end but didn’t love it. Not a huge fan of her style of writing.
