Lab researcher in cancer immunotherapy.
Sending all that is good your way.

I imagine someone has already mentioned this, but if not, there is a website called clinicaltrials.gov. It will list all experimental trials of new therapies which are ongoing or will be recruiting patients. There might be useful options in immunotherapy.

Valid point. I keep hearing the expression “We need a movement not a moment.” At least where I live I have been repeatedly encouraged to do more - make demands of my elected officials, work to get out the vote, boycott companies who support destructive policies.

If you have voted by mail before in New Jersey but not yet received your mail-in ballot for this election, you need to contact your county’s board of elections now. They will ask you to bring ID and pick up a replacement ballot which they will track to prevent fraud.

For some reason this reminded me that when I was instructing a new lab member how to set up an experiment I used to begin with “Meanwhile…”. It particularly upset one Russian physician in the lab.

A few years ago I had the opportunity to tour the Subaru telescope. It was a great experience. Thank you for the reminder.

I stand corrected. I just found that the Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of DNA collection during an arrest. I wonder if they considered that this would be applied to minors.
July 22, 2025 at 2:00 AM
Unless someone has changed the law, you cannot force someone to give a DNA sample. Informed consent is part of HIPAA . The problem with getting DNA samples from minors is that minors cannot consent. The most they can do is assent and their patent or guardian can then provide consent.

Excellent. Nice distilling apparatus you have there.

This is probably a minor point, but among other things isn’t this a HIPAA violation and this a federal crime? I am under the impression you cannot take a DNA sample from a person without their consent. Children are minors and so cannot consent.

I am also from New Jersey. We understand why Canadians are boycotting travel to the US. You are doing the right thing.

I don’t have the reference at hand but apparently those who study political change and social movements to replace governments have found when 3.5% of the population repeatedly voice their disapproval, the government can be changed.

I see on the side of the bag it is noted they support Alex’s Lemonade Stand. That is a pediatric cancer charity started in honor of Alex Scott. She was a young girl with cancer who had a lemonade stand to raise money to help other children with cancer.
