Yeah, that's about what I calculated too. Based on this test, I am certainly going to try at least a small campaign around the release - if I could get a steady positive return on ad spend -> sales revenue that would set me up nicely :)

Total spend was €1,000, but because of a Reddit Ads promotion that only cost me €500 in real money. Overall, €0.63 per wishlist which I think is pretty good. However, performance definitely slowed down towards the end.

These were Reddit ads. Initially I targeted by subreddit (the more niche, the better, I found) but at some point I found auto-optimised keywords worked just as well. As for type, carousel ads with multiple screenshots seemed to work the best, and converted to wishlists well.

It just demonstrates there is no such thing as "momentum" on Steam! You either hit the algorithm or you don't.

I had a quick look but couldn't find anything more. Maybe there's a secret message there 😂

So I know people like the look of the game. It's just really difficult to get Steam to show it to them!

Kinda... The biggest struggle is getting people to see it! I paid for some Reddit ads and got about 1,600 wishlists in 4 weeks - but as soon as I stopped paying for ads, I went back to 0-4 wishlists per day.

Thank you! I think the two most difficult things are working out how to manage the data and game state (it got really complicated before I refactored it) and honestly, marketing it :D It's kind of hard to make it look exciting in a video. Luckily it has a visual style that people seem to like.

Not to get too nostalgic, but it's a shame how all that neon slowly disappeared and this part of Ginza is kind of soulless now.

Oops! Sorry, not a student, a professor by the name of Sato Takanori!

The descriptions, which are found on the back of every postcard in the collection, are a fascinating, sometimes eyebrow-raising time capsule: they reflect not only how the wartime Empire of Japan wanted to be seen by the world, but how it wanted to see itself.

"Countless autumn breezes, spring rains, and star-studded frosts have passed since then: the master, together with his dog, gazes calmly from Ueno Hill upon our ever-changing, floating world."

"Constructed in Meiji 30, the bronze statue of the Venerable Saigō is a Tokyo landmark, standing tall in one corner of Ueno Forest."
