I admit, I'm a sucker for a possessive protector in a book.

In Anhelos Bound there is a moment where I describe the aftermath of what is essentially a bombing of a high traffic location and I use smell to ground the reader in the moment with the characters.
I'm hoping it lands, but I'm proud of how it came out.

His mother was with him when they were kidnapped and forced to endure cruel experiments. During the kidnapping, their kidnapper murdered his father.
At least, that's what he's been told 👀

The Tholick church teaches: those that have must give to those who do not. People must work together in times of struggle and strife.
Unfortunately, like the real world, most people have missed the point of several teachings and dont follow that.
