Former NJ Senior Deputy Attorney General. I applaud people who mistakenly voted for Trump in 2016 but had the good sense and decency to go the other way in subsequent elections.
There must be something in the air in South Carolina that produces jurists like Judge Gosnell and legislators like these:

It seems a bit hyperbolic to say SCOTUS “lifted the ban on racial profiling” in its immigration detention order. Here’s Justice Kavanaugh’s explanation of the Court’s ruling:

In his contemporaneous 2020 statement shown below, Bolton explains why for legal reasons he didn’t testify at Trump’s first impeachment hearing.

As for the upcoming Senate trial, he stated: “I have concluded that, if the Senate issues a subpoena for my testimony, I am prepared to testify.”

The assertion here that Hitler “studied the laws of US states to familiarize himself with selective reproduction and other eugenics issues” isn’t surprising when you examine some of the state statutes enacted in the 20th century:

Here’s another GOP transgression related to the Epstein affair that truly “smells corrupt and rotten.”

The prayers of these House members appear to be far different in nature and purpose from those of their colleagues in the Congressional Prayer Caucus:

The claim that “Black women are the most educated demographic in America” highlights why it’s often futile, if not fallacious, to try to classify people by race or gender. From the American Council on Education:

Here’s compelling evidence that GOP (and Democratic) members of Congress before they vote don’t read long bills, as opposed to staff summaries that necessarily omit important details:

As it turns out, Mike Lee does eat sh*t.

The Washington Post reports that he is particularly fond of Crumbl cookies, which he likes to serve at Senate lunches.

Kindness and empathy have no borders, says the message.

On the Canadian side of the border, that’s true. On the other side, less so.

Jackbooted thugs is a mild epithet for ICE officers who act like this.

As for the justice these agents deserve, it sadly won’t be imposed so long as the officials shown here continue in power.

An oath like this to our leader wouldn’t be very much different from the oath Germans took to their leader in the 1930s and 40s:

What right-minded person could disagree with this ticket, which would be just as compelling if these men were shown in reverse?

The law Trump and his legal team are invoking as justification for sending federal troops to LA appears below.

This is a sham to disguise a political show of force. No provision of this law is relevant to the facts on the ground, and Gov. Newsom has affirmed that no military assistance is needed.

In a just world all states would adopt laws on child handcuffing similar to this bill which just passed both houses of Connecticut’s legislature.

Lindsey Graham’s post, like most of his utterances, is reprehensible. But it wasn’t “threatening” Greta Thunberg’s ship or, as charged below, “calling for its destruction.”

His sarcastic comment referred to the danger that might befall the ship when it approached the Israeli naval blockade at Gaza.

Siri says: “Here’s an example of a man so cowardly and insecure that he won't tolerate dissenting opinions.”

Siri adds: “Sorry about that first answer. Wrong gender. You asked for a man, so here’s one.”
