I Like good comics, and know the difference.
I LOVE the craft and art of sequential graphical storytelling.
I mostly post/repost about comics, creating comics, and comics creators. Very ocassionaly other stuff of interest.
(Will comment on ANYTHING)
Good morning!

Will report back on the experience.

In love with a new Mignola watercolor.

Great moments in book design, Fantagraphics and Magnetic Press Edition.

Just read #Endeavour by @stephsmash.bsky.social, @marclaming.bsky.social, Loughridge, Napolitano!
Even better, I ended up with an unadvertised virgin variant cover from Scalera! This is an incredibly tight, well executed book and Laming's artwork is beyond excellent!

If you haven't, go get NOW.

Maybe it's the helm, and the staff, but I'm getting "Acroyear, but it's Grendel" vibes.

I notice you have a copy of the book. I was looking to get a copy and...
Wow. Is your copy printed in gold too?

How wonderful to see the homage!

It puzzles me that Alien Legion passed from the collective comics consciousness.
Great premise: "Foreign Legion in Space" or "StarTrek, but Starship Troopers".
Top art from stellar talents on both runs, and pure, grade A action throughout.
Jugger Grimrod should be known as well as Lobo or Punisher.

For a brief moment, I thought this was a crossover with Aftershock comics.

Kickstarter Saturday!

Two very different and excellent books from @crazymorse.bsky.social and @mattwagnercomics.bsky.social with the amazing KellyJones...
that both happen to share the coloring talents of @josevillarrubia.bsky.social.

It's going to be a great reading weekend.

This still you?
If so, then I understand your position. Forgetting that social media requires an account, you believe the FBI *should* be surveilling all public online speech of all Americans, and they they should do it more than they have been.
I got it.
Take care.
September 13, 2025 at 7:12 PM
This you? Because when you say the FBI should have been monitoring social media, it sounds an awful lot like you are saying the FBI should have been monitoring social media.
You can run away from that, delete the post, or whatever. I was just making sure I heard you right, and you confirmed.

If you have the opportunity, the Copenhagen National Museum has a phenomenal multimedia exhibit that's both creepy and enlightening. It does a good job of conveying the mystic worldview that is NOT the Marvel Thor.

Is there any single image that more fully and concisely conveys the entirety of a character than the cover of Detective Comics #457 does for Batman?

Show me your contenders for the title!

Today I discovered
Robert E. McGinnis, "Kitten on a Trampoline," Saturday Evening Post, 1961.
A near perfect example of the magic of sequential art storytelling. Such subtlety. Such mastery of the small details that capture the life and verity of the moment.

Ran across this yesterday and I am ansorcelled by the physicality of the object behind the image. I'm familiar with Dave Mc Kean working in physical sculpture, but it's such a treat to see.

Traveling and visiting #comicshopsabroad
1) What a national treasure Faraos Cigarer is for Denmark to offer such a massive and excellent variety of classic European comic reprin collections.
2) What a disapointment that we can't get a publisher in the States to do the same.

As my imaginary german grandmother would say, "MEIN GODT DAMN!! "

#HumbleBundle is blowing up right now! An absolutely incredible opportunity to support great causes in exchange for reading a metric shit-ton of great comics you may have missed!

GUYS, 275+ trades, and omnibuses for maybe $120 🤯

Eddie Campbell is an oft-overlooked master of comic storytelling. Most likely because he works primarily in black and white and doesn't have a commercial style, he's not a household name - though he should be.
Bacchus is available in a huge collection as well as the excellent 'The Years Have Pants'.

I cam here to say exactly that and post this:

I'm very excited to get this! I'm a sucker for classically illustrated classics, especially when they are brand new by modern masters.
Plus I LOVE limited and special editions by independant publishers.
The kickstarter is still going, so don't miss out.
