Dose no. 8. The "mysterious" bug going around really ain't a mystery.

Whoop! I think I'm done. One day to sit on it, but I think I'll click send to @reaktionbooks.bsky.social on Monday!

It's been a while, but I reman fond of the writing process when it requires pen and ink.

It's incomplete, but I've printed the first draft because I just can't see it on the screen anymore.

Milestone for this book. Thanks to all who have engaged. Timely reminder that there is a *new* edition, extensively revised.

This arrived. Strong recommend from me. Historians of emotion, childhood, pain and medicine take note.

It is definitely not too early to get excited about this forthcoming title.

Age 6, the whole class was asked to name types of squirrel. 25 kids. After red, grey and flying the class was floundering. I said black. Teacher told me I was ridiculous. I said I'd seen one. Was punished for answering back. The injustice lives with me, more than 40 years later.

From the CBC. I should point out that you don't steal eggs; you poach them.

the vernissage for this was 8 years ago. Safe to say that if we did it again we would leave the dates open-ended.

There will be a busy couple of days in Florence next month. A masterclass on the history of emotions and experience and a research seminar at EUI, and another research seminar courtesy of MEEM at the University of Florence.

yesterday, giving a keynote at the Contexts of Pain symposium here in Tampere. The rub: trying to give chronic pain a reason.

hmm, not convinced about some of this. Gown and mortar board not untypical for surgeons. And it also looks like John Freke. And it also makes much more sense that it is Freke, given context, setting and personal association.
