🎃We're all done up for Halloween!🎃

But please don't be fooled by our spooky decor - the library assistants at the issue desk aren't scary, and we're always happy to help!

We've listened to your feedback!

The Art Library can get pretty chilly in winter, so we've put some blankets by the entrance for you to take to your study space of choice.

Please return it when you leave, and let us know what you think in the comments, or our suggestions box!

Watery environments don't usually mix well with libraries, but we've found a way to make it work!

"Decks and Wrecks: a Voyage through Maritime Art and Archaeology" is now available for you to peruse on the ground floor.

While the sun is making a rare appearance here in Oxford, it's important to remember to look after yourself by staying hydrated!

You can find our water fountain in the lobby to top up your bottles (but please don't take unsealed cups of water into the main library!)

We heard there's some commotion happening in Glastonbury this weekend...

Can only assume everyone's headed on down to the fascinating archaeological site of Glastonbury Lake Village, about which we recently found a series of early 1900s pamphlets in our collection!

While the Romans pumped cold water from aqueducts through the walls of their houses to keep them cool, all that excess moisture isn't great for books.

Luckily for us, the Art Library has a nice modern air conditioning system.

Pop in and get out of the heatwave this weekend!
