Can't believe this country voted for such a moron.
I vote against the GOP in every election for any position. All blue.
(3) Both Parker and Snowy had chosen my wife to be their person. We're both grieving, but it's hit her particularly hard.

Will we add another rescue pet to the household? Of course, but for now we're just enjoying Missy, our younger rescue cat.

(2) On May 1, 2025, we lost Parker, a mixed breed, smaller boy, who had been with us for 10 years. He was a daycare favorite, as he was always the best boy and loved dogs and people - after he got to know them.

On May 6, 2025, we lost Snowy, our beautiful and loving white cat.

What the firms would be wise to remember: the client relationship is with the individual, not the firm. I have followed attorneys, financial advisors, and accountants when they changed firms. Integrity and trust cannot be underestimated.

I love the horns in that song, and that foghorn sound ... oh yeah!

Agreed! You can also tell a lot about a person by how they treat the waiter or waitress, or the clerk in a store. Kindness for the win!

No wonder I feel exhausted all the time. It's difficult to be calm with this direct assault on the American people and institutions.

This is Katy, who we lost last year at age 13. She was my walking companion; we walked hundreds of miles together.
In this picture, she was on her favorite chair in my office. I miss her dearly.

I use Charity Navigator to vet charities I am interested in. I used it so much I included Charity Navigator in my year-end giving.

Bear in mind that gifts through CN can take up to 30 days to reach the chosen charity.

And if all you have are pictures of yourself, I will block you!

Good to see another white cat! Snowy is our first.

Our Snowy had all of his teeth removed and his gums cleaned out. He looked like a chipmunk for about 2 weeks, but it made a huge difference in his life. I can't imagine how painful eating must have been before the surgery. He's a happy boy now!

Sounds like another USA Today, People or Readers Digest. Lofty aims!

Such a steep drop for one of the nation's premiere newspapers. It wasn't that long ago that the Post was admired for its investigative reporting. Sigh.

Absolutely loved Powell's when we were in Portland. All the nooks and rooms filled with books! I shipped home a large collection of new and used books gathered in just a few hours.

This thread is both amusing and painful to read. It's one thing to hear malapropisms, but to read them? Ugh.
