Absolutely. Trump is utterly blinkered but he's just the latest in the long line of parochial Americans ( and Britons) who think that they won the war alone.

Not disagreeing but Britain was the desperate one and Roosevelt was keen to help/supply. The Hollywood version of the war removes many British achievements but to suggest that we could have defeated the Germans without the US is stretching it.

To be fair, and I'm sure Trump doesn't mean this, Roosevelt used every trick in the book to supply Britain before December 1941 and had to hoodwink the US public in order to gain re-election. Similarly the highly mobile Red Army relied on the 400,000 US supplied trucks to move.
