Author and bookseller at Write Blend Bookshop from Liverpool. The Stars We Are out now!
This beauty is out today by Donna Gowland. It's the first in a new series of mysteries featuring Mary Shelley and I think everyone should read it

Just had a rejection from an agent for The Titanic Cat. It was a lovely, kind email, but still a rejection. So unless any other publishers or agents out there would like to read Jenny's story, I may just have to go it alone

Yesterday marked 113 years since the tragic sinking of RMS Titanic, an event with which I have a close family connection. I have written a middle grade novel about Jenny, the cat who didn't sail on Titanic and I'd love to hear from any publishers or agents who fancy a read of it!

#RIP Jean Marsh. Co creator of some of the best series ever to be seen on television, as well as playing two iconic roles in #DoctorWho. It's a huge loss.

'That's when good authors become good friends.' I love it when an author you admire turns out to be so lovely in real life. Thank you for dropping by @racheldelahaye.bsky.social. I could happily have chatted all day

20 years since #DoctorWho returned. I waited nervously to see the new version of the show I've loved since 1971. I've always found something to love in every Doctor, every companion, every story and don't see that changing any time soon. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to my favourite show

And finally, lumped together became they don't fit anywhere else, is my only children's picture book (to date), a collection of one-act play scripts and a ghostly, WW1-set novella. And that's it so far. All the above books are available on Amazon

I returned to self-publishing, with the wonderful support and assistance of the awesome TAUK Publishing for the Chapel Bay series, two of which were written as fundraising challenges supporting breast cancer charities

Next, I was lucky enough to have a Young Adult urban fantasy trilogy published by Beaten Track Publishing. There is also a novella and a short story collection which complement the trilogy

Seeing as this is now my social medium of choice, I thought I might say a bit more about my author journey. It started when I self published two tales of Squish the red squirrel and his forest pals, illustrated by Holly Bushnell

Chapel Bay the story so far (part 2). Check It Out Now! had guest appearances from Ruth from the school, Kate and Gemma in the café and farmer Huw. It's nice to catch up with old friends from time to time and that's what we'll be doing in #TheStarsWeAre on Thursday!

Chapel Bay the story so far. First there was Letting the Stars Go, which introduced this fictional Anglesey village and its residents. The story continues on Thursday with #TheStarsWeAre

I think all donations are in now, so I'm delighted to be able to announce that, thanks to the generosity of those named below, my recent novel writing challenge raised £430 for Prevent Breast Cancer, a sum which will do a lot of good. Thank you all so much.

A quick word of introduction. I'm the author of all the books in the photo. Most are self published but some are published by Beaten Track Publishing. I'm also on the lookout for a publisher for my middle grade book about Jenny, the cat on the Titanic...
