Phew today... sometimes you just know too many words I need to use too many of them. But I was done before 12:10.

Must remember not to go with those Scrabble words.

Not sure why this image didn't appear in my original post. As you can see, Wordlebot has a peculiar way of counting possible words left.

An impulsive first word wasn't too bad at whittling down the choices, but then it was slow going. 53 left, six left, four left, one left

Haven't posted anything original here in a while except for Wordle scores. So here is some spring time on the Blue Ridge..

This week's biggest accomplishment, replacing three out of 10 strings. But those were the wound ones, with worn out windings capable of drawing blood. I wonder how many can name the instrument?

From the Floyd Country Store Sunday afternoon old time and Bluegrass jams, here is a brief dobro break as my first experiment in uploading video to Blue Sky. I believe that is Charlie Milliron playing.
My next smartphone task will be to learn how to shorten a longer clip to accepted Blue Sky length.

A couple of weeks of ridiculously cold weather eased off in Radford Virginia today. It was possible (for some) to wade along the edge of the New River without completely freezing your feet. It helped if you were wearing a down jacket.

Looking out my window from a hilltop in the small city of Radford in Southwestern Virginia, wondering if there are tools for moving neighborhood infosharing groups off Facebook, which has replaced local and regional newspapers, bulletin boards, civic organization newsletters.

Congratulations! I generally don't look at those scores, but my four today was a mixed blessing... "skill" more than double the luck! :-)

Woodland spirit within tree, making a face and sticking out its tongue, according to a friend of mine. Or spitting out the distasteful object? I'm fascinated by how this piece of steel or iron got grown over and wound up headed out into the world triangular point first. Wildwood Park, Radford, VA

I'm on my laptop, not my camera, so deep file of on-stage pix. This is Carl Martin of Martin, Bogan & Armstrong, at the Hudson River Revival, 1977 or '78. Check out Steve Gooman's "Ballad of Carl Martin" on YouTube.

Not a lot of color left in the woods at Wildwood Park in Radford, Va., but still a nice place for a walk.
