This is diabolical work by Rap/the agent. The deal pays Purdy $170 million over the next FOUR years, but because it's an extension, it got reported as "$55 million average over the first three years."

Wanted to dig into this a little bit because all of the mocks putting Nick Emmanwori to the Vikings were driving me insane. I don't think "raw athlete" is a good prospect profile for safety. Here is Emmanwori's athletic profile vs some of the best safeties in the league, and then a bunch of busts.
