I think a lot about how Mr. Beast defenders would always just shrug and say "yeah but he gives money to people so yknow" as a defense for this absolute sociopath and how it directly ties into America's inability to separate wealth from morality.
One of the most haunting aspects of Squid Game was that the contestants could leave at any point if they wanted to but volunteered to be tortured to death because they were so desperate for money.
