tbc, this series of leaflet posts is stuff that *isn't* active work, but I have random thoughts on anyways

yes, versioning of individual records, not schemas

I would probably put it in the record, or a sidecar record

for example, query params could be used for API calls, where you put a service DID in the authority, then the endpoint NSID, then query params

query param syntax is powerful, which is why I want to reserve it for something big. it is a full key/value syntax, I don't want to blow that on a handful of protocol-level things.

version specifically feels like it fits very cleanly in as another path segment

we have never had post editing support in the bluesky app as a product feature.

people have done tricks at the protocol layer to update post records, but the results are basically undefined, and we encourage folks not to do this for now. at times we have labeled these "archival import" or similar

Violent rhetoric is not only strongly embedded in our cultural expression, it is an extremely well-known phenomenon that people consistently rate violent rhetoric used against them and people they like as significantly more severe than violent rhetoric used against people they dislike.

(I haven't done enough technical writing in leaflet yet to know how good it is)

the other markup GUI system I got super intimate with like this was LyX for LaTeX editing. very thrilling to type a caret and actually go "up and small"

hackpad was so good. I feel like i'm constantly fighting with notion.

eg, in notion if you start a code block with tilde, then end it, then go back to edit the code block, you get "stuck" in it and can't escape with another close-tilde
