The root of authority is the user DID and its controlling keys, with that DID Doc delegating account hosting to a server.

microformats are distinct from OpenGraph and OG “won”. It’s widely adopted and easier to implement for the majority of use cases.

And also: this isn’t a giant standards setting things. It’s trying stuff and see where it goes.

The real work is getting actual broad adoption, consensus, etc

I think a knowledge graph AppView would be good to visualize this.

And that’s the thing - we’re going to need early implementers and consumers.

The ATProto blog apps can easily do this for their hosted pages to get started.

I definitely think we should look more at OpenGraph along with Lexicon Embeds.

There is no audio only support currently. You can embed a video.
