I've been meaning to recut these earrings since I've improved my laser cutting (smoother engraved areas, no flash back chipping, etc.) but also looking back this photo is sooooo pretty

Secretly, as an attempted birthday surprise, one of my gfs contacts the guy that put on the show, "I know this a long shot but I have to ask..." It turns out he kept it in a flat file all these years. He just moved studios and he knows exactly where it is. Badda bing badda boom.

After five years of looking for this lost piece, I picked it up today. I've periodically pulled apart our closets frustrated that I lost something so large. A few weeks ago, I was looking for a picture of it to remind the gfs what it looked like. I found one of it hanging on an unfamiliar wall.

But now, silk skin and brisk wind, hold the pearling air in your heart. Everywhere underwater discoveries stir and make themselves known. A wonder. Jitter bug, data bending, candied honey and a vibrant verb. Open the windows for some light. And what a wild contraption of beast we built here with all its thumping and jumping. A wireframe of hollow bones strung together in dazzling colored veins. Then despite all odds, in the space between this thing and another, there is still the smell of citrus.

Once I get a huge chunk of my free time back (hopefully next month jesus christ) I'd like to develop a more consistent painting practice. I sit with a single image so infrequently that I spend the whole time relearning/redeciding how to paint.
