That is, you drop the needle on the inside of the record, not the outside like literally every other record ever made. Supposedly, this is for superior sound quality. If that was the case, why didn't Pink Floyd do this with their Knebworth 1990 set, in addition to plopping them on two 12" 45 RPM 180-gram vinyl records? (The higher the RPM, the better the quality, by the way. It's why Edison went with 80 for his Diamond Discs.) The second one, Romany Gilmour definitely has a great voice! But so far, the only two songs I've heard from her were with her dad. Don't get me wrong, it's glad he's helping her launch her career, and at the same time, she's pushing him to do new things. You can tell he wants to launch into a typical solo, but he doesn't. I'm looking forward to hearing more from her in the future. Lastly, I may listen to Roger Waters ruining a perfectly good album eventually, but not any time soon. This wasn't on my list at all, but I figured if I was getting stuff from the surviving members of Pink Floyd, I may as well get that, too.

Finally found something in which I can play all three of the audio cassette tapes that I own. Fast forward and rewind don't work on this, but thankfully play does. #goodwillfinds

So, I told myself I wasn't going to go to 11 without a reliable way to make sure, if it didn't work, I could quickly go back to 10. That was the hard drive pictured. Amazingly it still works, so we are a go for 11 via Flyby.

Home, and first I ate. Then I got into the computer. How this HDD ran is beyond me. Whoever refurbished this thing made sure you would've had to stack a drive on top of it!

Anyhow, up and running, and this thing is FAST! It booted up in under ten seconds from power on to login screen!

So the SSD arrived approximately an hour too late for me to try to physically swap out drives! You think they used enough bubble wrap?

Anyhow, it's important to note to hit the OS migration button in Disk Genius. It will warn you about this.

Anyhow, have to go to work in 30 minutes.

The first component of this project arrived. I was hoping both it and the SSD would arrive today, since tracking showed they were in the same building. But no, I'll have to wait until tomorrow to get that.
