I’m better with money than any rich person. I’ve never lost more than three figures max. Can you imagine losing $1,000? How horrible you’d feel? If you wouldn’t feel horrible, you don’t get to lecture anyone on money.

There no objectively correct way to enjoy art. That’s not what it’s there for. There’s not always a reason for it to exist outside of the fact that somebody made it and now it exists. I love that we found all of these wildly inventive ways to break through the inherent isolation of own existence.

A piece of media can lead you to a review, an academic analysis, a personal commentary from the people who made it, a fan’s continuation or reinterpretation of it, a completely new work inspired by it, or just a feeling of “it’s good because I liked it,” and that’s the magic of art.

There is no single correct way to experience art, and to insist on definite answers and interpretations does a disservice to the art itself and to the human experience. Criticism, analysis, theory, and inspiration all of come from a desire for understanding and connection.

Creativity breeds creativity. It spreads and multiplies. Art is fluid. It’s living within the consciousness of our shared existence. For it to truly thrive, we need to acknowledge that personal interpretation and inspiration are the ever-changing and can vary between any two people.
