Too lazy to work, too scared to steal.
Physical conditioning is a huge part of military life but often service members are left to fend for themselves to get better at it. Those who are in good condition are not always best to train others because they themselves don’t always fully understand how they got better at it beyond do more PT.

It’s the equivalent of the flaming hoops or goofy martial arts videos that terrorist groups and despots used to portray toughness when they lacked serious capability.

All these renovations to the White House being done by who knows what companies and contractors. The whole building has to be considered compromised from a security standpoint.

I’m surprised that since South Dakota is so friendly to Credit Card companies and Trusts that more financial shenanigans have not come to light. Probably too many other people with money or more to lose in that respect.

They are writing checks against US military capabilities that hopefully won’t be cashed. I’m not sure how much strategic depth we have at this point. Trump thinking we can attack anyone, anywhere, and anytime is going to end badly for US interests. No State dept, no Intel, just bombs.

So the day of the premature detonation the battery was likely firing predetermined data from the rehearsal to make the dog and pony show look good. What changed? This story only gets better as time goes on.

The sense of shame that most people would have after being exposed does not exist in the same way. It’s hard to grasp if you have not had that kind of narcissism in your life. They don’t see it as being exposed, just criticism to justify their motives.

This how the democrats end up with candidates like Fetterman and now Platner. The weakness this shows is infuriating any time but it’s even worse when given how unpopular the republicans are becoming. AIPAC will get over it, win first.

I’m curious now since they did have a round explode prematurely what shell and fuse combination was in use? Lots of VIPs in area with security details, accidental electro magnetic interference with a proximity fuse?

Vance has to do similar performative things as Hegseth to cultivate an aura of legitimacy. His lack of depth as a Senator, and now VP is on full display. His book and conservative connections don’t help him with that. Nothing wrong with being a Marine PAO Corporal but he’s milking it hard.

Caine flying a check ride from his 9/11 base fits right in to the feeling of impotency these guys grew up with. All the push ups and fighter jets in the world didn’t keep 9/11 from happening and 25 years of tacticool guys have gotten us the senior military leaders we deserve.

It’s apparent Hegseth has no skills so he relies on tough guy cosplay to hide his lack of depth. Caine, however has decided to test the theory of is it better to just be thought of as a mediocre chairman or remove all doubts. Real damage is being done to the pipeline of military leadership.

A way to navigate being put in a difficult situation is to conduct yourself in a professional and ethical manner. It’s laughable someone would try to paint ICE as being an innocent group merely in a difficult position.

I would think the range safety information, surface danger zones, Commander’s risk assessment, and maybe even the battery firing data would all be fair game for a FOIA request.
