"Well, Rick, you're not only a sentimentalist, but you've become a patriot."

"Maybe, but it seemed like a good time to start."

I was kinda hoping Trump had been talking to Lee Iacocca's ghost at Bedminster. You may recall Bedminster was previously John DeLorean's home. John and Lee were pretty close back in the day. Lee was best man at DeLorean's wedding.

Looking back into LA from the Cahuenga Pass, 100 trucks carrying 1 million board feet of lumber to Universal Studios, December 1930.

This would be a good start toward the rebuild.

I noticed another similarity between Trump's official photo and one more familiar image.

I remember those billboards from Angelyne and the Work Boot Warehouse. Her boots are looking a bit worn these days. Yikes.

Republicans have been trying to eliminate the DoEd since Reagan. The driving reason(s) may have changed over time.

I'm not an education expert, but I see the value of a government entity focused on "best practices" across 100,000+ K-12 districts as beneficial.

I don't have a simple answer. It's a story within a story within a story.

Every ending is a beginning. This ending is from Shakespeare in Love (1998).

Very well summarized. The MAGA party has reached the point where the word hypocrisy is inadequate to fully describe the absurdity of their 'values'.

Trumpocrisy perhaps? The ultra mega MAGA incarnation of hypocrisy.
