A previous (arsehole) manager I worked under on an outsourced account has just invited me and a stack of other people (not everyone, but most) for a reunion and I'm torn between turning up to see how the arsehole is going and actually having fun that night doing anything else

I’ve seen mid-latitude aurora 6 nights before this week, but always by myself or with only my dog.

Tuesday night (11 November 2025) was the first time friends joined me, and therefore the first time I have a picture of me and the aurora together.

#ColesWorth oversaw the destruction of the 🇦🇺 dairy industry through very aggressive pricing practices.
Justifying importation of dairy from offshore because of supply issues is a bit rich.

Farmers fear shoppers misled by cheap 'green and gold' US butter
Australia's dairy industry is concerned a US brand, packaged in green and gold with a white colouring and bland flavour, looks as if it's locally made.

Ok Catholic Bishops, now do a supportive video for women's health choices, including reproductive rights and the queer community.

You can't just stand with some and not all

PORN IS ART, PORN IS GOOD, PEOPLE MAKING PORN IS A SIGN OF A HEALTHY SOCIETY
There has been a noticeable reticence in left and liberal circles to voice full-throated support for pornography, even as it's become increasingly clear what the open end goals of the censorship movement are
In a lot of ways other leftists chose this path folks. They shrugged and didn’t care when Patreon banned a ton of hypnosis and TF creators, or when YouTube started their ASMR crackdown. Now it’s coming for queer porn creators, more and more. Who will stand up?

Yeah, I also missed the bit where the police swung punches at the Nazis, charged at them, pepper-sprayed, incited confrontation etc.

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

You know how sci-fi shows always do an episode about a civilization that builds a weapon to eradicate "impure" members of their species, and it always ends up destroying them?
Anyways, here's an article

im not a journalist my friend hope this helps. good luck in your quest to convince people elon musk is funny
He was funny enough to be invited to host SNL, and he was funny on the show. He was funny on the recent All In Podcast.
The joke makes a great point on how GDP is a poor measure of human progress.
Yes he has too much $ and power.
A journalist in The Guardian should be more capable of nuance.

Huh... Weird!
Anyone else noticed how Nazi rallies get the go-ahead fairly easily from state governments, then the horrified public reaction is weaponised to pass anti-protest laws, which are then used to quash anti-genocide dissent and justify police assaults on small brown women? You picking up on this, too??
