I had stopped going to church for decades and found a Presbyterian one that is VERY supportive of and involved in the community around it, LBGTQ+ affirming, racially diverse, with interfaith connections and led by an awesome woman pastor. It would’ve been amongst the “yes” responses to help

He’s definitely not someone that has ever watched $ to the point if you over spent $5 one week, you may not be able to pay full rent/utilities the next month. Even though I now have a comfortable cushion, I still keep a spreadsheet tracking and projecting every dollar after decades of hyper focus.

My church has a structure on its campus with even a refrigerated section that is part of www.littlefreepantry.org. I just dropped off a big box and plan more frequent donations future supply drop offs in the coming weeks.

The deep drawers are great for pantry storage as well.

I have a small kitchen, and took the doors off my pantry and had a carpenter build drawers and a countertop, and I love it.
I just got large glass jars from Amazon to put stuff in.

My spices (which are numerous, too) are in drawer 🤷‍♀️

As an Aggie, I would normally take the opportunity to mock t.u., but my alma mater fired a professor and a dean and forced the resignation of the university president over one student’s ignorant social media post.

As an Aggie I am horrified that a single college level student’s ignorance/malice resulted in this based on a mere executive order. Texas A&M is supposedly a top level university & not some small religious institution. Student had tons of options if she wanted teaching in conformity to her religion.

This whole conversation delighted me tonight.

The state makes the provider care for the residents for free if there is nowhere to safely place them.

What this means is there will be very few providers who will take Medicaid at all (so no available beds to begin with).
