Grocery delivery service was out of a lot of what we wanted, so I’m roasting cherry tomatoes with the last of the garden herbs for a struggle dinner.

Since we’re getting frost warnings, it was finally time to clear the harvests out of the garden. We also picked the sole meyer lemon that squirrels didn’t rip off the tree months ago.

It’s not the most photogenic meal, but every year we look forward to the sour beef (sauerbraten) meal from the local German church that’s been around since 1755.

This is my periodic reminder that the US insurance system is insane. This is how much it costs for me to get the only drug approved to treat me, which I need every 6 months. The infusion itself is billed separately from the drug cost.
