For the record: This is widely regarded as a bad idea

oh wow its interesting how every cat in each panel looks completely different with totally different cybernetics in every shot. What a very interesting artistic choice that I'm sure a real human artist made when drawing it

the one way I've seen this work better is when the enemies don't actually die, but basically just lock to 1hp until you get everyone else to 1hp, at which point killing the last one kills all of them
December 5, 2025 at 4:03 AM
absolutely. It's always super hype when you see the remaining boss go beserk and it sorta makes the fight into a choose your own phase 2 sorta deal

I'm so nervous to start playing, so many reviews have been so polarizing with some people loving it and other people hating certain aspects enough to ruin the game for them
December 4, 2025 at 8:34 PM
So like was the plan to just release these AI Dubs without permission with the expectation that fans would just love them so much that we would demand they keep doing them?

So how's that working out for them

these rich assholes complain about their taxes going up by fractions of a percent these days.

Meanwhile the era that is known for being a time where working a normal low-skill job was enough to buy a house and a car and support a family, is also the time when rich people paid more taxes.

Weird

that isn't a no...
December 3, 2025 at 11:15 PM
but can you suplex the train
December 3, 2025 at 10:47 PM
yeah I've seen some people argue "it's just to give the random NPCs in the world more life, real quest NPCs don't use it" and stuff and like, is this really better? Yeah you can talk to them more I guess but they basically just put a chatbot in their game and called it revolutionary
December 3, 2025 at 4:49 AM
yet with all these techbro scams that people hate it's always "Trust me bro, Crypto is gonna replace all traditional banking one day"
"The metaverse is gonna be everywhere"
"These NFTs are going to the moon"
"AI will only get better and will be able to do anything"
December 2, 2025 at 7:42 AM
I will keep reiterating this as many times as is needed, if AI was really so inevitable, they wouldn't need to convince us of it.

We didn't need to be convinced that Ipods were the future. We don't need to be convinced to watch youtube or play videogames
December 2, 2025 at 7:40 AM
If AI was so obviously the future, then companies wouldn't have to keep cramming it into stuff to try and force us to use it.

They didn't have to shove iphones in our faces. Companies weren't trying to force people to watch youtube videos to boost the platform.

But with AI "you gotta use it"

"Please use our plagiarism machine so that we can pay workers even less money pls"
December 1, 2025 at 12:10 AM
I swear that Tim Sweeny is constantly just trying to be contrarian to Steam for the sake of trying to be different even though he has the worst possible arguments every time
November 30, 2025 at 7:18 PM
But if AI is going to be everywhere and it's so good then why do you have a problem with disclosing AI Use?
November 30, 2025 at 7:11 PM
bnuy
November 30, 2025 at 5:19 PM
lol, right, the tech that is more energy intensive by orders of magnitude than traditional bookkeeping and has nothing but downsides for the end-user will totally catch on one day
November 30, 2025 at 5:18 PM
100%, the fact that our corporations are being allowed to get so absurdly overbloated in size and scope is the problem

It's like when games companies were so dumbfounded by Larian putting out the level of quality in BG3. The secret is that Larian is a private company not beholden to shareholders
November 30, 2025 at 6:40 AM
they simultaneously need to validate their own feelings as an "artist" while also trying to validate their desire for AI to be good enough to replace artists

it takes a high level of cognitive dissonance to be into AI like that
