One thing that's not gonna happen is the state paying you directly to produce more food. That's blatant 'state aid' breaching WTO regs.

It should be the role of the market, but that's failing as you can't grow anything due to almost a storm a month for the past year and a half.

Or just better agri-environment schemes in general? Simpler ones with less paperwork and that actually make sense?

Well obviously, but this works one of two ways:
1.) More money as direct subsidies.
They been cut every year since Brexit. But would you want it all back the way it was?
