Struggling to keep up with the words output. Surprising because I was really excited to write this chapter, had all the story beats figured out. So far haven't missed a day, plan is to keep pushing. I want to finish a book soooo bad! But it's too early to think about that

Changed how much sun these guys were getting and have been steadily giving them water. The small one seems to have completely recovered! Tall one has some growth that looks good too.

My lodging was suddenly changed. That's not the worst thing in the world. What is very unpleasant is the complete and total lack of privacy i have now. We're on the same shift and things like getting dressed for work is now a shared activity. Completely avoidable.

I hate how much I look at astrology and I'm like, "shit, they got me." It's just mysticism, but I'm kind of into it? Started following a Virgo poster and I keep shaking my head and smiling.

As I get my programs really cooking here in the desert, I'm greeted with what's going on in Japan without me. Oh, y'know, a giant holiday tour that includes a visit to cat island. No big deal. Really, I'm glad to be here. I mean, there's just so much SAND and WASTELAND to enjoy, it's great!

Day 16 -Slimming Down
Since hours are scarce out here I've been looking for ways to save time. And I've chosen to skip meals. I've been wanting to lose some inches anyway. Been eating 2 meals a day for about a week now. Hoping to keep it up for a month, see some results.

So! I got a picture of the poem and WOW it's bad. I didn't get to read it last time, just skimmed over, didn't realize. I thought it was a creepypasta but some guy was dealing with some stuff. It seems like a cry for help, but it feels weird sharing it. Ill sit on this, I think.

5500 words in two days despite my uncomfortable circumstances. Very pleased. The outline for my new idea is proceeding smoothly. I went from not having an antagonist to having one that's dominating his scenes an absolute force. Very excited to write for this monster

Day 10 - Hitting a Rhythm
Days are going by faster now. Had the thought, "Oh, just 3 more hours till shift is over, that fast? Wow." We also have shifted our bus schedule, arriving 30 minutes later and leaving 40 minutes earlier, so that's REALLY NICE. The extra morning time has been glorious

Not like kiss, sadly. Converted housing unit. I did get to move out of the tents. I think these were designed off of shipping containers, back in the day (the one in Kabul sure looked like it). Now it looks like there's a company manufacturing them, so not really converted, huh?

Found these plants surviving out here. I'm no plant expert but these guys aren't looking great. Too much sun?
Pretty common for there to be leftover water bottles between shifts. I keep using those to keep these guys fed. Hope it's enough

A thought. Not once during these 7 days has someone demanded I do something. I've sort of fallen into a position where I manage myself and work at my own pace.
But I'm an overachiever and my pace is, "I want everyone to think I'm capable and cool," so I just keep grinding.

No picture today. There's limits on what I can snag and the interiors of tents is only so exciting.
I had optimistically hoped that things might be pretty relaxed, maybe have a chunk of free time. That optimism is waning. Lots to do here and the conditions are fighting me
