You create a welt by knitting a small length of stockinette and then folding it and attaching it to the wrong side so it's like a little folded bar.

I do that! But sometimes I can't find *exactly* what I'm looking for. The problem with being overly picky choosey. Sometimes I'll talk myself out of doing a pattern that I know will work with the yarn because I'm that indecisive.

Sorta similar, I lived paycheck to paycheck till a couple years ago. I'm turning 40 and just now have the means of starting to save. That being said I also have about a mortgage worth of student loans. So home ownership prob won't happen and I don't really have any assets. Unless yarn counts lol.

But that being said I will probably talk myself out of it because of yarn guilt. I still have so much stash. The issue is that it's hard finding projects to fit the yarn you have rather than looking for yarn for a project you're excited about.
