Born during the great, reforming Attlee government so I enjoyed unprecedented levels of healthcare and education; saddened my descendants will not receive the same.

Well, you have to feel sorry for the Tory party. So many things they failed to do in fourteen years but were *about* to do - if only they hadn't been mysteriously and unfairly kicked out.

I'm not really sure about this. Surely it's important for a child to learn that he must not covet his neighbour’s ox nor his donkey?

Commendable attempt by Russian MFA to defend the indefensible!

He responds that way to *all* questions he dislikes or would rather not answer. Why on earth do the BBC continue to engage with him? Not fair on their journalists.

Quite a bit longer. The Conservative Party is still twitching. Let her finish the job.

Presumably, "Lord" Lamont wasn't available.

I used to see @SandyinSuffolk's posts regularly on the other forum. I don't miss them - this is one of her kinder efforts!

Until we have a fair voting system, I will always vote to prevent a Tory win. I am a lifelong Labour voter but voted Green at the last GE, as did the majority in my former Tory stronghold. Under a fair voting system, I would not necessarily vote Labour. And you are correct - there are many like us.

It's certainly miniscule compared to the Tories' world-beating corruption in recent years *but* I wish Labour politicians would learn and avoid these traps. It simply allows the false equivalence of "Labour are as bad as the Tories" to be propagated.

Well, *someone* has to attend these free jollies. He's only doing his duty at considerable personal cost.

It's called diplomacy - very different from Trump's compromised servility. (Aren't you on the wrong platform? I left Twitter/"X" to escape nutters like you).

Where does the Republican Party find these Bimbo, Stepford Trumpettes? Is there a breeding colony somewhere? She's like a younger version of Carla Sands, a regular laughing stock on UK TV - although mercifully not yet as deranged.

Never thought I would feel sorry for Nixon. His criminality was miniscule compared to Trump's yet he lost his presidency while Trump was re-elected!
