I've always had mixed views about zoos but Blackpool Zoo, UK, really does seem to house some happy and photogenic animals.

My YA novel was a finalist in the Book Excellence Awards 2024. But never mind that, look at this photo of my lovely springer spaniels, Millie and Ziggy.

Sometimes all you need is silence, solitude, and dogs for company. Then it's back home to work on that difficult chapter.
