I’d like to thank all those who have served in our military and national guard. I’m only sorry that, in many cases, you didn’t have a more honorable mission than you did. But you go into active duty with the leaders you have, not the leaders you’d like to have.

Also, too

Shipping up to Boston for another work trip, but woke up wanting to just dance with my wife to this.

@shaheen.senate.gov Your response, which should be BLATANTLY OBVIOUS, should be, “Because Republicans are not remotely interested in ‘working together.’ They are an authoritarian cult in thrall to Trump.” [explain what “in thrall” means]

But you don’t care, because you’re retiring. Way too late.
Shaheen: "When I talk to my constituents in New Hampshire, you know what they say to me? They say, 'Why can't you all just work together to address the problems that are facing this country?'"

DO NOT: Persecute Christians in another country for practicing their beliefs, or we will wage war against you.

DO: Persecute Christians in *our* country for practicing their beliefs, by waging war on them.

Whoever wrote this, or even agrees with it, needs to be slapped. I volunteer.
The Trump administration tells the Supreme Court it can’t be compelled to fully fund SNAP because paying out the money would “irreparably harm” the government, while SNAP beneficiaries … *won’t* be irreparably harmed by going hungry? The balance of equities here is completely upside down.

I’m just saying, Subway has a golden opportunity right now to not only do the funniest thing, but rehabilitate their brand in the process.

Dear Mary,

I know this will come as a shock, but I will not be coming at the end of this war, if it ever ends. I cannot imagine living in a civilized society with these memories. The smell of onions and mustard will haunt me to the end of my days. I am not the man you once knew.

Lovingly,
Greg

Saw Frankenstein last night. Entertaining, beautifully filmed, well acted (particularly Jacob Elordi, magnificent). But…it took some wild adaptations that simply do not appear in the novel. This bothered my academic wife (who teaches this novel) more than me, but kept it a star short of a 4-⭐️ review

Appreciate my neighborhood coming out for Halloween. Some usual displays, but the cemetery sign and the blow-up kraken are my fav new editions this year.

So, uhhh, yeah, a Nazi tattoo is not a good look for a Democratic Senator candidate. I get, if not agree with, the young/dumb/drunk tat choice.

When that same person voluntarily worked for Blackwater in the Middle East?
