That painting is now more than half done — I work on it about an hour per night in between my full time PD job and whatever I do for my private appellate practice in the evenings. It’s delightfully mind numbing. I also knit. That’s today’s plan after I do my laps.

It’s literally a child-level craft that has been amped up for adults. You get a canvas picture that has a glue all over it. Peel up the covering paper and place (with a wax pen) little pieces of plastic according to symbols. Like paint by numbers but with little “drills.” This is how it looks

Ok… now that lots of my real life friends are switching off FB, I’ll be checking more often. I am definitely avoiding most political stuff right now because it is simply too painful to watch. So, my weekend plans: crafting and cleaning and EAGLES FOOTBALL!!! 🏈

It was better the second time. I can’t believe that after seeing Wicked 13 times on stage that I could possibly embrace the movie more. But on the second viewing tonight, I found more details, more beauty. And my husband, usually stoic, was blown away. #Wicked

This is Rocky. He is an 11 year old rescue mix — lab and boxer we think. His 12 year old sister, Piper, passed on Halloween so we’re all hurting some. Second pic is Piper with three of my five kids the day we rescued her.

We lost our 12 year old rescue dog, Piper, on Halloween. She simply didn’t wake up. She is survived by her 11 year old little brother rescue, Rocky. It’s been sad around here.
