We are hoping this is just a rumor- passionate, dedicated leadership is needed during this time. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.

💥 Fantastic news from NYS! Our governor just signed the Climate Superfund Act which makes climate polluters pay for their damages.

From the state that gave you the original Superfund Act (see Love Canal, 1980) and the polluter pays principle…YAY!

Tonight at 7 pm it was clear enough to bring a 🔭 out. Four intrepid souls braved 19 degrees F to see Jupiter high in the East. I saw Jupiter’s stripes and her 4 moons. That was the first time I saw the stripes! We turned the 🔭 around for Venus in the west. Looking through Chris’s 🔭

#astrophotography Late afternoon April 8, 2024, 3:24 pm during the partial solar eclipse, clouds prevented me from imaging the eclipse. I grabbed my iPhone for this shot to at least capture the darkening scene. Daytime birds (crows) took off and mourning doves (evening birds) began to sing.

I was initially bummed the evening I took this as I was hoping to capture the aurora. It was cloudy and I didn’t like anything I was shooting. I decided to move and take a test shot facing this direction, and I ended up taking one of my favorite photos. Funny how often that happens with photography.
