TW: menstruation, blood, surgery, undergarments BLOODING is a first in several ways for me: 1) my first Fib, a poem where each line follows the Fibonacci number sequence, 2) first poem I've shared publicly addressing menstruation & surgery. Thanx @owlnsquirrels1111.bsky.social for the read.

Day 3: Steep Tea, Jee Leong Koh #TheSealeyChallenge #SealeyChallege

Koh used an epigraph on every poem. It gave me, the reader9, a place to start, a door to enter. My favorite poem was "Eve's Fault". My second favorite was "Fall:Five Poems". 1/2

Day 2: #TheSealeyChallenge #SealeyChallege

Inside My Electric City, Caylin Capra-Thomas

The poems felt gritty and surreal. My favorite was "Sometimes the Only Remedy". My second favorite was "I Wish For the Flash".

Day #1: #TheSealeyChallenge 8/1/2023

The first poem - For the Poet Who Told Me Rats Aren't Noble Enough Creatures for a Poem - I read in Elizabeth Acevedo's chapbook, Beastgirl & Other Origin Myths, knocked a gasp from me. The rest of them did the same. Such good, strong writing. 1/2
