Hello! I am an aspiring one-man #indiedev that has been slowly learning how to bring some of my wack dreams to life through a combination of #UE4, #Blender3D, and sometimes photoshop I guess!
Working on hand painting some modular lower-poly background houses to populate my scenes a bit better. Unfinished, but I'm happy with how it's looking so far. I'll have to make one a bit more hollow so I can sneak spookies in the windows.

More block-out work. This week I'll be working on replacing ALL the asset pack assets with my own stuff. I don't really know how to describe this game but I'm too far in it at this point to turn back now.

Went through a bit of a lull recently, but I'm getting back into the swing of things by working specifically on something I need improvement on. So tonight we're adding layers upon layers of hand painted hair texture until I have haircards I like.

Starting to finally get a blockout that I like. Getting closer, at least. The proportions are starting to feel nice. I wanted this safe zone to feel comfortable with the outside sky but also oppressive and choking with the towering stories.

Absolutely wrestling over the thought that I'm finally being convinced to buy a PS5 & it's for Death Stranding 2. A game I will undoubtedly one day own on PC

For ref it took the announcement of Bloodborne to convince me to buy PS4. So that's something. Idk if it's good something, but it's something

Having a frustration. Aesthetically and thematically, the game I'm working on could 100% benefit from the whole "VHS/Hi-8/Analog" style for my UI, menus, etc. But a big part of me I feels like that style is so oversaturated. Plus, idk how else to word this, this is a "red" game, not a "blue" game.

Doing some level block out, needed a placeholder fountain, found this one I made like, 6 years ago? Forgot how much I liked the idea of this mermaid greatsword fountain. Maybe I should revisit this idea now that I kinda know what I'm doing a little bit better.

I hit a really significant milestone earlier this week with my inventory system, so I rewarded myself by finally migrating my SSD. I'd been flirting with the last 500mb for years lmao. But then that turned into a three day thing. So now I'm doing some actual actual unwinding with a drink and a game.

One issue I struggle with is wanting to bounce between projects every time I hit a wall. Like just looking at this shot makes me want to abandon my current project and do more work on this, which has been in development for uhhhhh like four to six years?

Sitting here looking at my steam library instead of doing work this lazy Sunday and I keep thinking about finally going back to Pathologic 2 this winter. Probably one of my top 10 favorite games of all time that I never finished because of my crippling choice paralysis.

Broke the mold a little bit today and did some work on the project I started back when lockdown happened. Sometimes when you're doing a lot of the thing you're not as good at, it helps to go back and do things you feel more confident in.

With the holidays right around the corner it feels weird to not have spent the fall working on my Christmas game I've been slowly putting together for years. But I've got an opportunity and a mission, so I can't shift gears just yet. Perhaps next year.

Lowkey I still don't know how to write C++ regularly. The process has been a lot of the same way I figured out how to type on a keyboard. I saw, and recognized, the proper way to learn. Yet instead I elected to go on a "hunt and peck" style binge until I became comfortable writing my own stuff.

Doing some drive clean up and found an old video of a demo animation cycle I made a few years back as a way to practice using Blender version 3.2. End result was uhhhhh I still use Blender version 2.79 the most lmao
