Villa were brilliant. The set-up, methods of attack, how they pushed to win it, knowing Arsenal were tiring, was astounding. Few teams outlast and out manoeuvre Arsenal, but this team does. Especially at Villa Park. Madness. Mentality off the scale.

I don’t think Villa will win today, and that’s okay. The squad have proved a lot of people (me included) very wrong in recent weeks, but today, against the best defence in the league, I believe our low xG will catch up with us. Just keep it tight and make it a game. No silly mistakes. UTV!

Four goals (inside the box, too!). The league feels inconsistent - one of #AVFC's great strengths under Emery has been the ability to churn out points, like in recent months. Here, they showed something going forward that they haven't all season, which is a very promising sign.

Ah man, confidence for football players is ridiculous - missing out on CL football on goal difference, having to sell players to balance the books, not being able to bring new talent in, of course things looked bleak to start the season
