2024 in Birds!!

2024 was my first full calendar year of #birding. My aim was to see 200 species in NL, which I didn't manage in the end.
Still, it was a great motivation to explore new places and get moving. I've never been outdoors more and really felt the benefits of that during the year.

Talk by @bjoernfrankly.bsky.social on fine scale habitat modelling for >1k individual tracked mammals from 27 countries. Most animals avoid roads (not elephants!). Avoid rugged landscapes (except mountain specialists) & high density human pop areas. Species traits do not explain differences #BES2024
