Strange why almost all if not all states have a similar law but some angry dude in Minnesota knows it’s all wrong.

Correct, nothing inherently wrong in the abstract but in the real world where exits and entrances, for the most part, are on the right hand side there are studies that suggest that keeping right except to pass is better for traffic flow and safety.

I am simply stating the law doesn’t mention speed and you are ranting about your preference.

You don’t make sound arguments and that’s fine. I would love to see any of these hold up as a defense if you are ever ticketed for a passing lane violation. Arguments like yours are why civil discourse and the internet suck. Try coming up with a logical argument that isn’t rooted in a made up stat.

Both are laws. I never said speeding is okay. I just said that the passing lane laws do not mention that if you are going a certain speed you are exempt. Speeding is unsafe. So is impeding people from passing on the left.

Law 1 is the real problem so I’m gonna ignore law 2.

This is the problem with arguments these days. Logical fallacies need to be taught in elementary.

If you say you are passing you are not the problem. If you are not passing you are in the wrong regardless of what the person passing you is doing. Simple.

Your argument relies on something that you are inventing or relying only on your experience while my argument is simply stating the law. Do you not see that?
November 6, 2025 at 12:04 AM
You’re completely ignoring my argument that the passing lane or keep right laws do not state anything about the speed you are going and are simply intended to reduce traffic accidents.
