Ask me how long I waited for todays AoC part 2.

Not really doing AoC this year, but when I saw the text I asked some friends if part 2 was what I hoped for AND IT WAS.

If the Bambu labs founders makes printers, I am buying one, even if the Chinese can read everything I print. I annoys me how their 3D printer is easier to operate than HP laser printers.

“The Rise of Bambu Labs: How a Group of DJI Experts are Revolutionizing 3D Printing and Autonomous Driving, Amid Chinese CCP Controversy”
However, there is a concern about the connection between Bambu Labs, DJI, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). DJI has been accused of sharing drone data with the Chinese government, and the US g…

Ranomdly just noticing again when charging my phone in a dock... If this was a normal linux OS I could do a lot of my work just out of a docked phone.

Makes me kind of proud we were doing hand written slides before AI

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.

Booting the computer after a meetup with some red wine and philosophical discussions, and finding the browser tabs full of C64 code and Rider open with my Ilasm code is a sign of a night well spent.

We had a fantastic #fsharp meetup yesterday. Read all about it on (our favorite, I know) business social media site

Does the piano keys have names that are not connected to diatonic scales? Like a more neutral 1 to 12 numbering? It seems slightly to prafmatic to me to mix abstractions levels like this

I have a plan to learn how scales work, I just had to normalize the piano first and make the modulus 12 part of the octave more explicit.

Not feeling 100%, not sure if the cat is looking after me or I am looking after the cat, but anyway we are not going anywhere.

I want to come up with a case where "Da capo al fine" is actually useful in programming and then make a control flow syntax for it or something. Like, maybe run some validations, then run some migration code and then run the validations again.

Flange joint is the ultimate interface. 3D printing stuff and realized by adding flange joints I can just make models and re-arrange everything and add new modules etc. Also, if I use normal steel bolts it is going to look awesome and we can "torque up" stuff.

AI slop in 3D printing is I interesting. Reminds me a bit of code, things look ok on the outside, things looks reasonable but then it comes out shit and anyone with some deeper understanding realise the mesh is shit and has all kinds of quality issues.

The coolest thing about 6 7 is, after I explained a few things, the kids are all doing "I am the great Cornholio. I need TP for my bunghole."

A lot of software engineering practices make more sense if analysed from a perspective of hustle than a perspective of engineering.
