like literally presumed we were non-romantic roommates until he had to think abt there being two bedrooms and then was like “oh yeah, I met the guy who lived here, Tor right? I’ve talked to him before” & it’s like no, you don’t get to resolve AND THERE WERE ONLY TWO BEDROOMS by straightening me out

partner’s wife was doing some last bit of stuff at the apartment and ran in to our terrible next door neighbor was chatting abt us moving and was like “so this is a three bedroom apartment?” & when informed no, only two, the prospect of HOMOSEXUALITY seemed to confuse him

remembering when our first landlord sold the place after we’d lived there for yrs and yrs and yrs and was like, “btw! i need you to sign this before I can sell it!” & it was a form we were supposed to have signed upon move in saying that we understood there was lead paint under the current paint job

as tho our apartment, which has probably never been inspected for anything, was any better.

I am a pile of mistakes that I hide inside all of my bones hoping no one figures out how bad I am at absolutely everything
