The earlier WIP sketch page that led to the birth of Chitloca. Theres various real world animals as well as mixing and matching of body parts to create something fantastic.
19 figures of various sketch phases are on this page. From top left- 3 sketches of the kangaroo rat. One of a side profile on all 4. Another side profile standing. And then a front profile of it floating in air. To the right, top, is a sketch outline of a coyote. To the right, top, are 2 sketches of kit foxes. One is rough facial profile and the other is a terrible proportioned isometric view with lower half the body not sketched at all. Upper right of this is a desert shrew. To top right is a sketch of a ringtail cat, also rough. Middle left of the page is some beast of burden with weird proportions. Its still mostly ovals and circles and guide lines since I didnt stick to it. The middle of the page are fantasy kit foxes- one with a thin tail the other with a thick caterpillar tail. To the bottom right corner of this pair are fox like beings crossed with a ringtail. They're roughly sketched. One has butterfly wings. Bottom left. corner is a turtle dove concept and the bottom right corner are more fox like beings but theyre sketched with chitlin plates on them.

Looking more like a koopa than an actual dove

I imagine they flock in groups of 20, are absolutely flightless, and basic dodo. They got low HP but if you try to kick them they turn into a shell and suffer no dmg. Like a koopa 🤣

They squawk and headbutt too
A take on a turtle dove. I went more turtle and took a dove back to the dinosaur age. So it looks like a fancy koopa that has a crest and can head butt. The top left sketch is of it squawking; head and long neck protruding from a shell, featherless wings that look like an undressed chicken wing. Underbelly like a tortoise shell. Legs like a bird and a long tail. Bottom image is of the head, face on. From lower jaw beak to head crest looks like a continous bow-tie shape with 2 beady eyes looking from either side. The third image is a rough sketch of the body outstretched, head butting or diving or something.

Some more sketches for my worldbuilding

Im naming this species Chitloca- inspired by the coyote, a bee, the kit fox, beetles and pangolin.

They're about 2-3 lbs, about 21 inches from nose to tail, and got 6 ears so they can locate you with precision.
A collection of sketches- to the right upper corner is a sketch of a ringtail cat without markings. The bottom right side is 2 sketches of taurs based off the ringtail cat, one is standing, one is sitting. They're bare minimum sketches. The left side is the Chitloca species I made up today for my world building. They're small, approx 2-3 lbs and 21 inches from nose to tail. They're based off real life species. The appearance is a fox face with six ears and scales instead of fur. The neck looks draconian with the pangolin scales and chitlin underbelly. The ribcage is like a bug- chitlin with wings protruding from the back. Its legs come out like a tortoise with scales and platelets. The tail is bushy like a fox but instead looks like a grubby butt with a stinger like a bee.

A right side up photo of my WIP drawing of the tarot card the fool. You the User are depicted as the StarSeed child in the middle of the drawing, symbolized as both being born and being planted amidst the chaos of the cosmos and the dark crushing earth, Gaia. Hands of unknown origin plunge you down, The Fool must break free and grow, like a flower. Glow like a star. Or be lost forever in the dark like a seed that never sprouts, or fails. When success is the only option, what will you become? To this end- it is the Fools Hope that when they emerge, theyre ready to face lifes challenges. A side view of the same photo. I think I'll write more on discerning these cards from multiple angles because I put a LOT of detail and effort into it. I imagine The Fool like I imagine Jesus Christ the Redeemer and his foolish journey to save an ungrateful mankind. Its mythology and its epic. You the Fool are embarking on equally epic journey to Become- whatever that looks like. I chose to depict us all as a StarSeed because souls are Shards of Creation and come from Beyond. This mortal shell we inhabit is ours and the world we shepherd for better or worse. Its The Fools journey to embark on something built on hopes and dreams, yet its the greatest journey of mankind.

Some art musing: not every drawing is gunna be "the one" as sometimes the drawing is just getting initial thoughts out. This image wont be the final one.

Whirling clouds and shooting meteors, with planets that look on the verge of colliding.

October 4th, a few years ago, I had a vision of this symbol and a soul traveling through the portals. They had traveled a great distance to be here on this Earth, and were Chosen to do Greatness. The vision qas powerful, eliciting emotions and fear and left me feeling heavy like lead and thinking this was an Omen. My writings are hard to read but they say things like "star" "portal" "energy" "align" "opening" "weaver" "dark" "eye of needle" "choke point" "collapse" "fall" "down" "plummets" "Red". The symbol looks like a horizontal line with crescentz on the ends, and 3 vertical lines drawn between with the middle line the longest. A sketch of a black hole in 4D- like a hypercube. It shows how things rotate but also shoot out and in the center how the event horizon IS a 4D hypersphere so like... crazy thermal dynamics and gravitational pulls. When I think of black holes I synesthetically hear Igorrr.

Awe I love this. I made a fantasy doggo based off the thalacine x pangolin. I was fascinated by the animal's ability to open wide its jaw. In the process of learning, like you've mentioned the animal was mischaracterized, that the bite pressure was a biased number to paint a biased picture. Anywho!

WIP sketch of a tarot deck im drawing

The Fool and this is the upright position

Lots going on and yes im writing in a book as im drawing so meanings can be discerned and Im not struggling post-project to remember every WHY, because I'll lose myself in the chaos
Aight this picture of my current drawing has a heck of a lot going on and its not even half drawn. Its the first card of a tarot deck: The Fool. Aside from the normal archetypes of this card, i have the Fool represented as a Star Seed being planted by disembodied hands into the multiverse. As the roots grow, looking like they Crack the universe, we see the potential of elemental energy represented and woven together by these growing tendrils that soak up everything.

Toyota Supra! Thats all pencil
An up-close of one cell from my main image of the snow leopard gryphon, which her tail is seen to the left; this cell shows a Toyota Supra. Ive drawn all these fine lines and exaggerated burn out and the license plate says Bird. The Japanese in the image says "Supra" while the other says "no boundaries" or "no rules" ( ope kinda forgot )

Okay its another photo of my drawing of a female snow leopard gryphon with a sports bra and pride leggings ( uncolored) with Chuck Taylor's on holding a blank flag above their head and wings outstretched. The background is various pencil drawings of street, race, and muscle class cars. I know the right side is Japanese cars, pretty sure there's a Supra but the rest i dont know. The right side has a mix with the top car being a mustang Shelby cobra. The image is in various stages of sketch to ink and is uncolored and largely unshaded.

The OG sketch, no ink. I figured i wasnt a true goth when at anthrocon I had BIG HIPPIE ENERGY right along side the goth look. Which im fine with. 100%. Hippie goth is totally an aesthetic.
Its a 3x3 grid with 4 sides, top is labeled jock, going clockwise, then goth, then nerd, and finally prep. Ya bird ended up in the nerd category

However I want the guide book. I dont have the guide book and so while the cards are beautiful, I have no clue the majority of what myth is what. Some are known, but out of 72, naw
