They've been dragged kicking & screaming to this position and I'm sure there will be huge caveats and other vulnerable groups in the firing line if they do remove it. Labours position was it's immoral to Starmer saying he's keeping it to prove he can make tough decisions, just performative cruelty.

Lib dems waved through all Cameron Osbourne cuts. They even bragged about getting their 5p plastic bag charge through and all they conceded was more severe benefits sanctions. And remember the Tories only formed a government because the lib dems backed them.

The Tories, Lib Dems already killed thousands through the coalition years, the Tories killed many during COVID "let the bodies pile high" and Labour are doing a fine job continuing the cruelty.

Yes the EU has frictionless trade, my point was that if the UK went for regulatory alignment then the UK would still rightly be subject to border checks.

but rejoining is popular and has polled as popular for years now, your argument is at the GE only 3 parties were fighting for it and it got 12/7.2% of the vote. Can I ask do you believe can act on anythign at all outwith what was in their manifesto?
