Our partner @fpwc.bsky.social is driving the valley’s revival, from reforesting slopes to reviving biodiversity, and is partnering with local communities to protect the valley’s future.

Tucked away in the Caucasus region, this valley harbours a stunning array of globally and regionally threatened species, including elusive predators like the Persian Leopard, wildcats and lynx, as well as the endangered Armenian Mouflon—of which fewer than 200 individuals remain in Armenia.

This year, we organized two events at the European Parliament. We discussed how smarter policies and funding can support marine conservation, sustainable fisheries, and the protection of our seas, and how to best address the bycatch issue – the accidental capture of non-target species.
